Plugins for the OpenX Ad Server

A few years ago, the creators of the OpenX Ad Server came to the realization that they won’t be able to incorporate all the features that all of their users around the world would like. Instead, the OpenX Ad Server now has a plugin framework that enables third party developers to add functionality to the software, without having to make changes to the core code. This is an approach that is similar to the plugin architecture that has been very successful for the WordPress blogging software.

With the release of version 2.8, much of the standard functionality of OpenX Ad Server has been moved from the core code into a set of plugins, these plugins are bundled with the downloadable software.

On these pages, we will present an overview of standard and free third party plugins for OpenX.
